Artha Energy Projects is looking for a qualified subcontractor to carry out comprehensive maintenance services for rooftop solar panel installations at our client’s facilities in Thane and Aurangabad (Maharashtra), and Kurukshetra (Haryana). The contractor will oversee technical and administrative responsibilities to maintain optimal performance, regulatory compliance, and operational longevity of the rooftop solar assets.

Scope of Services

1. Technical Maintenance 

1.1 Preventive Maintenance 

  • Routine inspections (monthly, quarterly, annually) of rooftop solar modules, inverters, and all connected electrical infrastructure
  • Bi-weekly cleaning of panels to remove dust and debris
  • Inspection for damage, corrosion, and electrical issues
  • Performance checks for inverters, batteries (if applicable), and charge controllers
  • Testing and upkeep of wiring, grounding, junction boxes, fuses, circuit breakers, and metering equipment
  • Annual system calibration to ensure energy output accuracy

1.2 Corrective Maintenance 

  • Fault diagnosis and repairs (inverter failures, wiring faults, module replacements)
  • Emergency response within SLA-defined timelines
  • Coordinated system shutdowns with site teams when required Documentation and assessment of damages for insurance or claims

1.3 Monitoring & Reporting 

  • Implementation and upkeep of a monitoring system
  • Monthly performance reports and efficiency analytics
  • Tracking of energy generation, downtime, and deemed generation losses
  • Daily and monthly meter readings

2. Administrative Maintenance 

2.1 Regulatory & Documentation 

  • Ensure full compliance with local, state, and federal rooftop solar regulations
  • Maintain comprehensive service logs and reports
  • Coordinate for necessary permits, safety audits, and compliance documentation
  • Support adherence to net-metering frameworks

2.2 Inventory & Asset Management 

  • Spare parts inventory management
  • Warranty tracking and claim coordination
  • Documentation of all asset activities and system changes

 2.3 Customer Support & Training 

  • Periodic basic training for on-site personnel
  • Designated point of contact for escalations
  • Ongoing technical and advisory support

 3. Service Level Agreements (SLAs)

  • Preventive Maintenance: Quarterly
  • Emergency Response Time: Within 24 hours
  • Reports: Monthly and Annual
  • Minimum System Uptime: 95%

 4. Contractor Qualifications and Experience

Prospective vendors must meet the following minimum criteria: 

  • Experience: At least 8–10 years of hands-on experience in operations and maintenance of rooftop solar projects
  • Capacity: Proven experience managing a cumulative total of 50 MW rooftop solar installations within a single Indian state
  • Personnel: Technically certified and experienced PV system professionals
  • Compliance: Strong adherence to HSE norms and regulatory standards
  • Resources: Sufficient manpower and equipment to manage distributed rooftop installations
  • Insurance: Comprehensive business and operational liability coverage

5. Deliverables

  • Maintenance reports
  • Fault diagnostics and resolution logs
  • Asset tracking and inventory updates
  • Training content and attendance records
  • Metering and generation data logs
  • Compliance and audit documentation
  • Damage and insurance assessment reports
